Barangay Assembly (February 2014)

posted Aug 19, 2014, 5:05 AM by Barangay Tortugas
Barangay Tortugas continues to undertake these Barangay Assembly twice a year among the Barangays in the City of Balanga. At the beginning of this year, we had an accomplishment and future programs report during the celebration of Barangay Week Program here in our community.

Barangay Captain Vic Baluyot was the first to give his report stressing the Barangay Tortugas' Vision and Mission. He then invited each member of the council to give their report as to what programs were accomplished, what are being done and their future plans.

Everyone who was there quietly listened as the councilmen gave their outstanding reports. Barangay Captain Vic wrapped up the reporting leaving important challenge to the residents and recommendations to the government officials for the realization of the dream of each Iyeekenyos.

One can sense that the audience, our Kabarangays and guests, were satisfied with our accomplishments and plans. Our City Vice Mayor, Noel Valdecanas stated that Barangay Tortugas was consistent with its outstanding Barangay governance and encouraged the council to continue in doing so.

Our City Mayor, Joet Garcia, invited everyone present to  applaud the Barangay Council for a very good  and commendable reports  befitting a multi recipient of Most Outstanding Barangay Award in the city. He said that they didn't just give good reports but they were able to implement programs, which the residents truly need. The Mayor also talked about updates on the ongoing programs and his future plans for the City of Balanga, which is focused on lifelong learning.
