Implementation of City Ordinance No. 21 Series 2014

posted Sep 5, 2015, 2:06 AM by Barangay Tortugas
The implementation of this city ordinance posts a big challenge to our Barangay Peace and Order Committee, Health Committee and members of the Barangay Tanod. These joint committees met with the City Veterinary Office Head, Dr. Billy Samson with our worsening problem with stray dogs.

School children are easy targets for these dogs. Due to the big number of complaints and the risks rabies pose to humans, the committees decided to have a massive seizure of dangerous stray dogs to ensure safety of the residents. With this move, we are also trying to find the owners of these stray dogs.

Our next line of action would be to impose a penalty for the return of the dog to the owner and to remind them of their responsibility... their duty of care and public liability.
