The Barangay Tortugas Council continues to seek for ways and means to come up with the best programs for their barangay. One way is the Lakbay-aral for all the barangay personnel from utilities, Barangay Police, Health Worker, Day Care Worker, Lupong Tagapamayapa and the Barangay Council. This will enable each of them to learn and be effective in their respective duties.

Recently, the full force of the Barangay Tortugas personnel went and experienced a live TV noontime show which is being watched worldwide. Through this rare opportunity of socialization and fun, they looked for ideas on how to inspire each resident to get involved in the community.

They also went to the Office of the Supreme Court of the Philippines as part of the Lakbay-aral. The whole group were informed on how the highest court was and was briefed the procedures on how a case is being treated. They got the chance for a question and answer as they interviewed some members of this agency on their day to day operations.

This Lakbay-aral was funded by the portion of the cash awarded to the barangay for Peace and Order in the City of Balanga. This is a program of Barangay Governance Performance Management System (BGPMS), a joint project of the City Government and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) headed by Mayor Joet Garcia and Mrs. Evelyn Matias respectively.

The Barangay Council thanked Eat Bulaga (Tape Management Inc.) and the Security Head of the Supreme Court in allowing us to be a part of the audience and entry to the said venue and jurisdiction.
