8/06/2013 -
Alongside the celebration of Nutrition Month, we invited Mrs. Del  Calinao of  City Agriculture Office to continue with the  URBAN GARDENING  program intensification. This is timely and critical especially to families with undernourished children who can not afford to put good and nutritious meals on their dining tables. With the availability of these vegetables in their homes, there will be no reason for any child  to be hungry and to stay malnourished.

She showed simple methods on  how parents could raise vegetables in pots, empty jars or containers with the help of making organic fertilizers out of  their own household wastes. This is not new to the parents but one which we promote for family sustenance. Planting vegetables can give each family income supplement as they can sell the extra vegetables harvests. Thank you Ma'm Del!
