Public Hearing for wetland and Nature Park Fees

posted Jun 2, 2011, 7:25 PM by Barangay Tortugas
May 21, 2011 - Many of us are aware of the ongoing development in the wetland and nature park here in Barangay Tortugas. Our Mayor, the Hon. Joet Garcia, has and continue to be one of our biggest advocates. He continues to voice the importance and beauty of the park to generous enthusiasts in order to raise funds for the care, maintenance and building of necessary facilities for a sustainable coastal management.

The wetland and nature park is fast becoming the centre of learning and discovery for not only migratory birds but also of mangroves and unique shells that can only be found this side of the country.
As more and more people find their way into our city to admire and enjoy this piece of nature, there is also the increasing demand on our local and city government to clean, maintain and complete all works in the park.  It is for this reason that decision was made to increase fees associated to entry and tours of the park.

We would like to thank our city administrator, Mr Rudy H. de Mesa, city tourism chairman, Hon. Liza A. Vasquez, Engr. Butch Baluyot and Co. Of PMO, Madam Miguela R. Reyes and Madam Shirley E. Fan tone and Co. Of DENR, Ms Terisita Q. Nisan of Dep Ed, Ms. ma Fe Panerio,  Mrs. Gina C. Estrella of Kabalikat and most especially our Barangay Tortugas residents for their ongoing support and cooperation.
