The Race is On!: Amazing MICE Race

Activity 2 was set in Balanga City Bataan, they arrived at 2:00 pm at Joyous Resort and Restaurant where they had their lunch with all of the department heads of city of Balanga headed by Honorable Mayor Joet Garcia, City council of Balanga headed by Vice Mayor Noel Vadecañas, Barangay officials and and all other attached agencies supporting the city.

Mayor Joet Garcia also give insight about the current status of Balanga City Bataan at large as a Peninsula of being part of the East Asian-Australian flyway to the main migratory and endemic bird species for years, making the area an attractive stop over to migrating forest and water birds from Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Siberia and even Canada. Its thick Mangrove Forest, wetland, grassland and mudflat offer lush vegetation and food basket to migratory birds and rare birds endemic to the Philippines. He also said that Balanga City is listed among the most populated bird sites in the country.

After the program. they hit Balanga Nature and Wetland Park at Barangay Tortugas via boat ride for their Bird watching and other schedule fun activity. We introduced that Balanga City Wetland Park is the first protected wetland park in the whole Manila Bay area that safeguard migratory and resident birds. We  also cited that we develop the identified habitat into a sanctuary that aims to build a coordinated site-specific habitat management including reforestation and conservation of all wetland, grassland, mangrove and mudflat, the construction of facilities and eco-tourism.
