United Nation Month Celebration

In observance  and celebration marking this year's United Nation Month, pupils from Tortugas Elementary School  showed their support by having  a United Nation Parade. Pupils walked around the Barangay dressed in different costumes of member nations. This school program reinforces the importance of  unity among  nations.

Again, our Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) was there to ensure orderliness and safety of the participants and spectators during the parade. The Barangay Council is very serious in intensifying the visibility of School Based Tanods in our school grounds. Our BPAT
monitors school children who   leave the school premises during school hours, who  cut  classes and /or after class hours  to dive and swim in the river, who smoke and who bully other pupils. Through this, the school administration is able to do necessary actions in response to such problems.

These are just a few of the several important roles members of
BPAT play in our effort to heighten our peace and order campaign in our community.
